Professional experience
A Guernsey Donkey through and through, Ady returned to Guernsey and was called as an Advocate in 2001. Ady then spent a couple of decades working as a company lawyer specialising in investment fund acquisitions and financing, corporate reorganisations, public markets acquisitions via schemes of arrangement and providing corporate support for high profile litigation cases.
After more than 20 years in the corporate world, Ady developed a yearning to be doing good things for good people. An invitation to join Torode Advocates was the answer.
Ady now applies his decades of legal experience working alongside Mark on a wide range of property, wills, probate and inheritance matters.
Beyond the day job
Ady shares his life with his wife, and wing-woman, Andrea and a lunacy of Labradoodles.
Ady works as a lawyer to fund his open water swimming habit and has been nick-named “The Sea Donkey”. Amongst other notable swims including around Guernsey, around Jersey and the length of Loch Ness, he was the 21st person on the planet to complete the infamous Oceans Seven challenge.
When not in the sea, Ady can be found volunteering for Guernsey Disability Swimming LBG, of which he is the Chairperson.
Ady cooks to relax. His Aubergine Parmigiana and his Pork Shoulder Vindaloo are absolute hits!
