Beyond the day job
Mark is married to Ally, and they have four children (all girls). As if this isn’t enough, dogs and ponies add to the pandemonium.
Mark enjoys year-round sea swimming and sets himself annual marathon (10km+) swim challenges. Guernsey to Alderney is his current longest solo effort, but there is always some new horizon to swim to…
Mark is also a keen participant in motorsports, racing regularly in hillclimbs and enjoying track days in the UK and France.
Mark also used to ride point-to-point horses and was well-known for his encyclopaedic knowledge of equestrian bloodlines. He is a member of the Channel Islands Horseracing Authority that oversees racing in the islands.
