Changing your name in Guernsey requires the completion of a short document which is signed by an Advocate and presented to the Conveyancing Court which sits every Tuesday and Thursday. You will also need to be present in the Conveyancing Court to acknowledge that you agree to the changes to your name. It should be noted that following any divorce your surname does not automatically revert to your former name and you may want to consider a Deed Poll in this eventuality.
